Best of Anime 2016: Anime (Subjective)

This post is generally going to be a more of a subjective view for what I believe to be the best Anime of 2016 is. With that being said, those who have similar interests to me, such as the genres I like or the different niches I like will probably get more of an insight to what was the best, or whats good for them. This year provided a more unique style of story in regards to anime, with several series being different than the considered “norm” of their genres. It was a throw up with anime being at the different ends of the scale, being either comical and funny or darker and dramatic. With that being said:

Deirii Raifu’s Pick:

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! – ‘A Little Adventurer’

“Did your stats go up with your level, allowing you to change jobs from ‘adventurer’ to ‘pervert’?”

It’s a clean up this year, with Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! taking Anime of the year, in more of a subjective taste towards myself and a recommendation to those with similar interests. It did well in how the whole story played out, taking more of the “newbie” route rather than the overpowered hero, making it more unique in its portrayal of a fantasy world. Keeping it light, comical and friendly was the way to go, allowing itself to have a positive outlook, its silly humor at its best of times making it easy to understand and laugh too. KonoSuba did really shine this year, the characters, the situation and of course the adventure, with all of it culminating into a great season of anime.
