Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu takes the top spot this year for anime story’s. With a riveting rotational tale of knowing despair and having small triumphs, Re:Zero exemplified a roller coaster of emotions throughout its 2 cour run. Mainly told through its main protagonist Natsuki Subaru, it was an amalgamation of the series premise, with him being able to “essentially” reset after dying, led to some great scenes along his journey in order to fit in the world he came to. Most of the time its heart wrenching, watching someone get beat down over and over and over again, but it’s different from the norm, and that’s what makes it so good.
