Musaigen no Phantom World – ‘It’s pretty & I mean pretty’
“We live in this shaky world where the line between reality and fantasy has become blurred. But you know what? I happen to like this world.”
Musaigen no Phantom World takes the top spot for animation this year. Kyoto Animation (KyoAni) did a great job in providing a well animated series filled with bright colors and transient tones. The overall animation turned out to be bright and colorful, where it was nice to see all of the colors mix, match and contrast against each other. With specific key frames highlight certain aspects of a character, it was nice too see how they all fit well in how the animations played out. This also being combined with different variety of styles (Due to the different worlds) allowed for a lot of variety.
