Best of Anime 2016: Supernatural

When it comes to the supernatural a lot of people will generally think about different types of monsters, ghosts or even otherworldly forms such as Gods and Demons. This is all said to be true when entering the anime world, as a lot of anime depict these kinds of beings. Some have stories about them, where they come from and why they exist, others have them as the enemy, a nuisance to man kind. All that is not deemed to be natural in reality, can be seen as supernatural. In 2016, a lot of the supernatural elements in anime, had to deal with finding out more about it, ore the using them to explore even further. Journey’s and stories were created from the supernatural things in the world and they didn’t disappoint. With that being said:

The pretty picture that was Musaigen no Phantom World takes the top spot this year for the supernatural. With a concept revolving around the brain and its ability to create things, it opens a whole different world of possibilities when it comes to the supernatural. From summoning monsters from books, to using special powers to fight inanimate objects in which their “souls” have made them come to life, Musaigen offers a lot to the super in the natural we find today. There is a story behind everything, and the path taken to explore that journey brings about these supernatural elements.
