“Valentines Chocolate” JK Meshi Episode 19

It’s almost Valentines day on JK Meshi this episode, with Ryouka dreading this time of year, previously receiving a combined number of 1885 in letters and chocolate last year.

For Valentines day being a huge day for females in Japan, Ryouka see’s the opposite side of it in having to get 18885 return gifts (note she received all these gifts from other girls). The conversation moves to trying to find out what is the best gift to give in return, in receiving a number of different shaped and sized gifts, this was sure a tall task. Leave it to Professor Ruriko to take the reins and decipher this through a variety of different formulas, although to no avail.

Continuing this chocolate themed episode, Reina decides to give Ryouka a spicy chocolate mug cake, using pancake mix, eggs, milk, a chocolate bar, Cayenne pepper powder and a mug. The recipe goes as follows:

  1. Break the chocolate bar into pieces and microwave for 20 seconds.
  2. Add everything together into a mix
  3. Add  the super secret ingredient of Cayenne pepper powder.
  4. Microwave for about 2 to 2 and a half minutes
  5. Top it off with your favorite decorations.

This valentines filled episode, basically summed up a possibility of the other side of valentines day in being the one who receives (or in Ryouka’s case, receives too much). The chocolate mug cake would be a good go to party dessert, and maybe some fun with Russian roulette for the spicy part (if spicy isn’t to your tasting).
