Best Anime of 2015: Ending

An Ending for an anime is basically the winding down of a show. An ED can provide a variety of different things, whether they be showing the characters or focusing on the story itself. A lot of ED’s in anime, are actually slower than their OP counter parts, they basically signal the end of the show, making it more relaxing and calm. This year in anime there were a variety of different ED’s that stood out, where the songs and animation fit what the whole anime was about. With that being said:

Deirii Raifu’s Pick:

Moumoon – Hello Shooting Star (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) – ‘About a blind girl’

“I’m waiting for you”

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu’s ED takes the cake this year. Yuka’s voice makes the song, with its relaxing and calmer tones with a slower pace to signal the end of the show, it creates a good contrast to the usual energetic, fun loving side of the anime.  Using a chalkboard and of course drawing, provides a unique style of animation and its softer tones really stood out.

Runners Up:

2) Saori Hayami, Nao Touyama – Everyday World (Ballad Arrange) (Romcom SNAFU 2)
3) Touyama Nao, Hanazawa Kana, Komatsu Mikako, Asumi Kana – Aimai Hertz (Nisekoi:)

Roto’s Pick:

Moumoon – Hello, shooting star (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) – ‘Chalkboard Fantasy

“Hello Shooting Star again”

Hello, Shooting Star is one of the best ED I have heard in quite a while. The combination of both good ED animation (in the form of a brightly coloured chalkboard story) and soft soothing music makes for a great song. The song itself is relaxing but feels loud and soft at the same time, making you feel like going gently into that good night.

Runners Up:

2) Noragami Aragoto – Tia – Nirvana
3) Yahari no Ore Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru Zoku – Saori Hayami & Nao Touyama – Everyday World – Acoustic
Special Mentions Durarara!!x2 – Revalcy – Exit
