Best Anime of 2015: Romance/Comedy

Within every RomCom there is always a time for romance and a time for comedy, or even both at the same time. The whole anime genre has always been actually quite expressive when it comes to release of anime in the RomCom genre. In 2015, there were a variety of different anime that fit this perfectly, each offering their own “niche” (whether it be harem, ecchi, fan-service or just pure RomCom in general). Mainly linked to many different “cliches” and fun, fantastic lighthearted filled moments this year reinforced its strengths as well as exploring some new paths. With that being said:

Deirii Raifu’s Pick:

Nisekoi: – ‘1 Waifu 4 Laifu’

“It can’t be helped, if there’s nothing you can do, then there’s nothing else you can do.

With the 2nd season of the notorious anime associated with “teams”, Nisekoi: takes the top spot for RomCom anime in 2015. Continuing on its strengths bringing on those very fun lighthearted filled moments, the characters emphasize in the way they relate and react in how a great RomCom is done. From offering those “HNNNNGGHHH” moments to the use of jokes that brought a smile to my face, Nisekoi: takes the #1 spot this year.

Romance Comedy is basically where both comedy and romance elements of an anime meld together well to produce a well-rounded, interesting but also entertaining show. (Which basically means harem based shows). Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa does this the best this year, only slightly edging its competitors. A combination of well-placed comedy and a touch of romance was well received each episode. The key to this was the pacing of the anime, which I though was done really well.
