Laughter, Laughter, Laughter. That’s what comes to mind when comedy is mentioned. Whether they be a tsukkomi-boke based jokes, a reference to something else, a pun, a body stunt or even just dialogue between characters these are all forms of comedy in which anime can bring. Sometimes the joke is quite simple and easy, sometimes its a complex ball where it ends in a ridiculous punchline, laughter abound these are the anime that brought smiles to faces to those who watched them. With that being said:

Non non Biyori Repeat – ‘Living in the sticks’
“It’s salty… like life?”
When it came down to comedy this year, Non non Biyori’s 2nd season, Repeat made it nothing but a fun anime to watch. Despite absolutely almost nothing happening each episode, the pure interaction between the girls made it all worthwhile. With gags, physical jokes or just plain responses being the best way to get the laughter out of me, everytime I watched an episode, it was relaxing and joyful. It really does go to show that cute girls doing cute things, can be really, really good.

Ore ga Ojousama Gakkou ni “Shomin Sample” Toshite Gets Sareta Ken – ‘The urge to be normal’
Shomin Sample provides a stable base of both slapstick and face palm comedy this year. I thoroughly enjoyed most of the face palming comedy sequences this show had, along with the various scenes of cringe moments scattered throughout the series. Shomin Sample is for those who enjoy gag and slapstick comedy, where the jokes are either funny or so stupid they actually make you apply palm to your forehead.
