Best Anime of 2015: Music

When it comes to music genre, it is generally quite subjective. As one’s musical taste may not fit another. Though, as long as the music can be enjoyed by someone out there, it can be deemed to be good. Most music anime generally focus around idols, and the ‘anime’ genre, and the following anime strongly reinforce that. With that being said:

Deirii Raifu’s Pick:

The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls – ‘Shining like a Star’

“Let’s meet the new light”

1 2

iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls takes the top sport for music this year. When it comes down to music, a majority of anime are about idols and Cinderella girls doesn’t disappoint. It offered a variety of different of songs, not just focusing on one group but also other sub groups, leading to different styles and of course a limitless combination of voices. Not only did it show the fun side but also the darker side of the music industry. Living up to expectations, the struggles as well as dealing with management, and doing this as a young girl must be hard. It had a realistic side to it.

iDOLM@STER, this time, is much more realistic (for an anime). The music in iDOLM@STER is good since it varies over the course of the show itself, with different types (Sadly no EDM) across the board, ensuring that there is at least 1 song that the viewer can enjoy. iDOLM@STER thoroughly outpaces its rivals this year in this genre, as the anime keeps it simple, by effectively concentrating on 3 things: The Music, The Girls and the Power of Smile.

Runners Up: N/A
